  2. a particular quality or tone that reflects or expresses a mood or attitude

A chartered Librarian, I work with library systems (as well as data, workflows, resource discovery and all that goes with it) at the National Library of Scotland.

I like taking notes - which are usually not as brief as the definition implies - and I like leaves of all sorts. The "birth" of this blog was mostly triggered by my interest in Live Blogging and the need to have a plateform to keep a record of my notes, because writing on paper is now no longer so much the thing to do... and some of my writing may be useful to others.

Notes you will find here are concerned with Library Management Systems, Metadata, Cloud Computing, Linked (Open) Data and related topics. I report on events and conferences I am attending, so the content is mostly my understanding of what somebody else has said ... I therefore take responsibility for, potentially, mirepresenting opinions or facts, but this will have been done unintentionally. This also explains occasional typos for which I will hopefully be forgiven...
